About:
Simon Bibby: I started East Space Studios after having designed and built my own studio a number of years ago. I saw an oppurtunity to offer something new: A strong mix of fresh and well conceived design thinking combined with progressive construction techniques, high quality materials and an expectional level of finish, with the clients needs and desires at the forefront. I have over 22 years industry experience working within the physical Product Design sector for organisations such as MillerKnoll and Joseph Joseph. I've held a number leadership roles working on a variety of global award winning products ranging from direct to consumer goods through to corporate ergonomic work tools.

Approach:
I provide unique and well executed bespoke garden studios that maximise your space at home no matter the function. My approach is one of collaboration, working closely to identify, design and build a unique garden studio space that works both functionally and aesthethically, providing you with a place of joy and focus. I have an ingrained passion for design / construction and I'm a firm believer that well considered and thoughtful design can improve our lives, well being and our greater environment.
Sustainability:
I am committed to a sustainable approach and I strive to use sustainable materials and constructions techniques throughout the process, ranging from ground screw foundations through to innovative construction techniques such as SIPS. Ground screws are a trusted yet relatively new foundation technique that provides a fast, low disruption and lower carbon footprint compared to traditional poured concrete methods. Ground screws are generally installed in one day and ready to use.
Construction:
I use SIPS to construct all studios, a pre fabricated innovative panel system manufactured to high level of accuracy within a factory environment, this provides a fully insulated garden studio with building standard level insulation, providing all year round comfortable use. The additional benefits are minimal waste, reduced carbon footprint and traceable sources, all within a rapid build time.
